We haunt your house, then we take the haunt home.

The Haunt Keepers are Emily and Dovi, two Bay Ridge neighbors who design, install, and pack up Halloween displays for homes and businesses. You get the best stoop on the block every October without buying, storing, or untangling a single string of lights.

Here lies everything that won't haunt you this year

How it works

Four steps, and you only show up for the first one.

  1. We come over and talk shop

Emily and Dovi walk your stoop, measure the railings, find the outlets, and ask the big question: cute, creepy, or fully haunted?

  2. We pull your look from the vault

Your design gets built from our collection of skeletons, witches, neon, ghosts, and graveyard pieces. You approve the plan before anything moves.

  3. We install everything

We bring the ladders, straps, sandbags, and timers. Nothing gets screwed into your brick or taped to your paint.

  4. We pack it all back up

After Halloween we take it down, sweep up, and haul it home. It sleeps in our vault until next fall, when you can pick a whole new look.

The vault

Your decorations spend the other eleven months with us.

Most Halloween decorations get used for four weeks and then sit in a closet, a basement, or a storage unit for the rest of the year. Ours live in the Haunt Keepers vault in Bay Ridge, where every piece is cleaned, repaired, tagged, and shelved after the season. When it comes back out next fall, it looks brand new, and you never had to make room for it.

Why rent your haunt

All of the fun, and none of the stuff.

Nobuying

Good Halloween pieces cost real money, and a single animatronic can run a few hundred dollars. You pay for the season, not the inventory.

Nostoring

Your closet stays a closet. The giant skeleton goes home with us on November 1st.

Noladders

We handle the heights, the wiring, the timers, and the fixes after a windy night.

Noguilt

You get a new look every year without a new pile of plastic. Our pieces get reused season after season, house after house.

Meet the Haunt Keepers

Two horror fans who never want October to end.

Emily and Dovi are collectors and lifelong fans of all things horror, from slasher classics to vintage blow molds. They started the Haunt Keepers so their neighbors could have as much fun with Halloween as they do, minus the overflowing basement.

Emily

Emily has a collector's eye and a soft spot for anything that is a little creepy and a little cute. Ask about her favorite horror movie and plan to stay a while.

Dovi

Dovi is a lifelong Brooklyn resident who grew up trick-or-treating these streets and knows which stoops the kids line up for. Dovi has never met a monster too big for the front yard.

Happy haunts

Same stoop, two shifts.

Drag across the photo to watch a Bay Ridge stoop go from the afternoon trick-or-treat crowd to full glow after dark.

A Bay Ridge row house decorated for Halloween in daylight, with skeletons on the stoop, witches by the windows, a tombstone, black cats on the fence, and ghosts on the railing. The same row house after dark, with neon signs glowing pink, purple, and green in the windows and string lights along the fence. DayNight

One install. Two completely different looks.

We sent Emily a few photos of our stoop and one instruction: make it fun, not gory, because our block is full of little kids. A week later ours was the house everyone stopped at. There was neon in every window, a skeleton waving from the stairs, and a whole graveyard behind the fence. We didn't buy anything, we didn't climb a single ladder, and on November 2nd it all went back to the vault. It was the easiest Halloween we've ever had, and the best looking one by far.
K&K★★★★★Kayvon & Kate
We were nervous about anyone working on our old house, so we asked a lot of questions, and Dovi had a clear answer for every one. The crew arrived on time, worked clean, and secured everything with straps, weights, and clips, so nothing marked our ironwork or brick. When they came back to take it down, they packed every piece, coiled every cord, and swept the walk. The next morning you could not tell anything had been there. That is what a professional installation looks like.
